IEA’s mission is to promote lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics. IEA utilizes a unique draw-based (catch-ride) competition format, whereby riders do not need to own their own horse or tack to participate. Each of the riders in the National Finals competition will be riding a horse that is unknown to them. Riders get very little, if any, warm-up time and must demonstrate good equitation and horsemanship skills.
